Concierge performance physio for founders, operators and athletes. By application.

Dr. Matt Zanis, PT, DPT, works with a small roster at a time and reads every application himself. Rehab and performance sit on the same spectrum in his work, so each program is built around one person's body, goals and life instead of a template. He trained in athletic training at Pitt, earned his physical therapy doctorate at Duke, and is a fellowship-trained manual therapist.

How it ties to Peak Performance. Health Vault and GroundTruth were both built in conjunction with Matt. GroundTruth is an independent peptide research app that grades the evidence and the safety separately, made as a place he can send his clients. Health Vault is available to some of them. Both are tested with a cohort of elite and tactical athletes through his practice.

Matt and Jesse also designed the gym for the 301 W Osborn project.

The situation

Matt is the founder of Rooted in MVMNT, a concierge performance physio practice for founders, operators and athletes, based in Scottsdale. He also works in a contract advisory capacity with US Olympic organizations, described only in general terms here.

Jesse is a stakeholder in Rooted in MVMNT and a company advisor across Matt's businesses, under a consulting agreement. This is the contract the rest of this room's work runs under: Health Vault and GroundTruth are both individual projects that came out of it. Separately, Matt is a client of Common Ground, which built the practice's brand platform.

Problem

A performance physio practice built across several businesses at once, without anyone on the business side to read a contract, structure a company, or plan the next move.

What we did

A stakeholder and advisory role on the company side; contract advisory, including reading his agreements and negotiating on his behalf with US Olympic organizations; and, as a client project, a brand platform for Rooted in MVMNT built by Common Ground's brand studio.

Result

A live brand platform for Rooted in MVMNT and a standing advisory relationship that runs across Matt's businesses, and the contract that Health Vault and GroundTruth both run under.
